At the beginning of this month I went back to working fulltime after being a stay at home mom for over 5 years. It has definitely been a huge adjustment and I honestly have struggled so much with my eating during this time. For one thing, I have had to adjust to being really busy and on my feet all day, so that has been really exhausting for me and it has led to me wanting to find comfort in food. And then I also have had to adjust to eating my lunch at 10:30 in the morning which has led me to being very hungry when I get off working and getting into the habit of grabbing fast food after work. For the first few weeks I allowed myself to do all of this because I was struggling with managing everything. But now that it has been a month, things are getting better and I’m getting more used to everything. I am determined to not let this completely derail my weight loss journey so I am consciously making changes to try to balance everything.
I have been going to bed earlier, usually at 9pm so that I can get plenty of sleep, since I have to get up at 5:45. So I am feeling like with getting more sleep, I am doing better with being busy all day. I am still sore and tired at the end of the day but I know that a huge part of that is my weight. So I know that the more weight I lose, the easier it will be on my body with working. I also have been bringing a snack with me so that I can eat it after I get off work. That has helped me a lot with being hungry after work and keeping me satisfied until supper.
So I really feel like I am learning to balance everything and keep going with my weight loss journey while also keeping up with all of my responsibilities. So I am optimistic that I will have a good weight loss for the month of March and that will help keep me motivated to keep going.
