This tends to be a difficult time of year for me because harvest has begun. For those of you not familiar with farming, farmers plant their crops in the Spring and harvest them in the Fall and harvest can last for months, depending on the weather. My husband works a fulltime job and also farms, so that means we don’t really see much of him this time of year. He is gone from 4:30am until 9pm or later, depending on what fields they are working on.
So for me this is really difficult because I am alone with my kids and I tend to eat when I am stressed or lonely. For the past few nights I have taken the kids to grab fast food for supper because by the end of the day I am exhausted and just not wanting to make supper. So right now I am struggling to stay on track but I am determined to not make this a habit during this harvest season. I have meals planned out for the week so tonight I am going to stick to our meal plan because I know that if I keep eating junk all week I am going to have a huge gain at my weigh in on Saturday.
After this week I have planned to use my crockpot for all of my supper meals so that I can put it all in the crockpot and it will be ready by suppertime and I won’t have an excuse to go out to eat. I think this will definitely help a lot. I am not going to gain all of the weight that I’ve lost back, so I have to learn to discipline myself better and keep myself occupied so I don’t stress eat.
